Aargauer Zeitung is the leading regional newspaper in the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland. Edited in Baden and Aarau, the German language daily has a circulation of 129,000. The paper of AZ Medien Gruppe was created in 1996 through the merger of Aargauer Tagblatt and Badener Tagblatt.
The newspaper produces several local editions, including under the titles Zofinger Tagblatt and Limmattaler Tagblatt.
Since January 2002, Mittelland Zeitung is the common core section of Aargauer Zeitung, Solothurner Zeitung, Oltner Tagblatt and Zofinger Tagblatt with a circulation of 200,000.
